dahntahn.

I had off work today so Cristina and I met downtown. As soon as I left my apartment, it began to rain. However, we didn't let it ruin our plans and we still set out to take some photos and catch up. After taking the incline down the mountain, I decided to take the T into the city. I absolutely love the T; I blame it on my third grade obsession with the subway in NYC.

Station square T, rainy city and red lips.

Cristina and I ventured into subway and then out into the city for a mini photo adventure.

killer Victoria's Secret booties.
Despite the gloomy weather, it was a great day off. I had originally planned on spending the entire day in my bed so I'm glad I actually ventured out into the world and snapped some photos.

To end the evening, we stopped by Starbucks. I've been wanting to try their new blonde roast. Since I drink my coffee black and as strong as possible, I didn't care for it much. It smelled and tasted like chicken broth to me. I know that sounds bizarre, but Cristina agreed on the soup front. I'll stick to my dark roast, hold the broth, thank you very much.

Happy MLK Jr Day!

fabergé.

I have always been very enthused about museums and art forms from previous centuries. After hearing about it for months, I finally was able to venture over the The Frick Art & Historical Center for the Fabergé exhibit.

I have to be honest, I was expecting to look at hundreds of intricately designed, flashy, colorful...eggs. I blame it on my obsession with Anastasia as a child and my extensive curiosity about Russian culture when I was in middle school history. Anyway, I was completely blown away by the exhibit; I was also shocked that there was not one egg in the entire presentation. There were, however, a bunch of ridiculously fancy cigarette cases.

We also went into the carriage house and saw some pretty amazing forms of transportation. The Frick has a $2 million Rolls-Royce on loan for the next couple months. Pictures just don't do it justice.

It was a successful adventure Sunday.
Hope everyone has a wonderful MLK Jr. Day tomorrow,

the good and the bad and the worst and the best.

I was itching to shoot tonight with my new lens so I did some obligatory self portraits in my room. It snowed heavily today and now that winter has really kicked in despite the last few weeks of spring-like weather, the winter blues have already started seeping in.

the good and the bad,
and the worst and the best.
Things have been shaky lately and I'm hoping that getting my knee brace off within the next few weeks and getting back into my art will help me find more of a balance. Taking photographs has always been therapeutic for me; a perfect mixture of a passion and a hobby. I lost myself for a while and I think I'm slowly finding my way back to a place of production.

Here's to January,
